MCDONALD TOP LOCAL HARRIER

Jacob McDonald, of West Elgin SS, turned in the highest finish for a local runner at the annual Springwater Invitational cross-country meet Thursday.

McDonald placed seventh in the junior boys field of 133 with a time of 21 minutes, 24 seconds over the course at Springwater Conservation Area.
