White, 15, dominates senior field

High school cross-country: Mother Teresa star wins by an incredible one minute, 18 seconds

Moving up to the senior ranks in high school cross-country can be a difficult transition for some.

Jaclyn White is making it look easy.

Second last year as a junior, the Grade 11 student at Mother Teresa, who doesn’t turn 16 until next month, cruised to the biggest winning margin of the day — a minute and 18 seconds over Katie Komarnicky of Beal in taking the 5,240-metre senior girls’ race Thursday at the TVRAA Central Conference championships at Springbank Park.
